Summer Festivals

School’s out fun’s in -- all summer long

Don't let the heat keep you away from New Orleans. For one thing, the hotel rates are the lowest they’ll be all year. For another, with refreshing events like Tales of the Cocktail, you’ll barely notice the heat. Plus, the best restaurants in town celebrate COOLinary New Orleans with prix fixe menus all August long. You can enjoy three-course meals in most of our world-famous eateries for around $30 a person.

And, just as the swamp comes to life in the summer, so does the city with activities like the Essence Festival, Go 4th on the River, Satchmo SummerFest, White Linen Night and Southern Decadence. Get yourself some cool white linen duds, a nice Truman Capotesque straw hat (he was born here, you know), and come see what we’re all about in summer.
